| MASON'S STORY |
| Mason has been playing guitar and writing songs since he was 11 years old. Music has always been a big influence in Mason's life, whether listening to the Beatles, Eagles and America, singing in the High School Choir or playing on the weekends in local rock bands. College found Mason "jamming" with William Matthews in a band called Prestige. Later Mason moved to Monroe, Louisiana to attend Northeast Louisiana University, where he met Wyatt Webb, bass guitar and Kelly Kemp, musician extraordinaire. They played in a band called "Why Not?" at local bars and fraternity parties. While Mason was earning a Bachelor's degree in Radio/TV/Film with a minor in Voice, the members of "Why Not?" continued to hone their chops individually and collectively. Today, Mason is married to wife Shannon and they have three sons, Bailey, Jake, and Nathan and Mason continues to write songs and play guitar and sing in Matthews-Granade. |
